For this adventure, we will depart from Santa Marta in a 4x4 transport, on a journey of approximately 1 hour. We will pass by the Bonda church, the Tayrona monument, and reach the Donama stones, a sacred site and traditional territory connection with codes carved into the stone.
We will continue the journey for about 40 more minutes, passing through the La Lisa village and the Piedra and La Lisa rivers. Once we arrive in Boqueron, we will begin our 30-minute ascent through the coffee farm to the viewpoint, where you can appreciate Santa Marta and the Tayrona Park. After enjoying the panoramic view, we will continue our trek for an hour and a half until we reach the Bunkuany terraces.
Upon our arrival at Bunkuany, we will rest by the creek and explore the archaeological area, understanding its current significance for local communities. When these terraces were discovered, the comparison with Ciudad Perdida (Lost City) was inevitable. That's why the media called it "The Second Lost City" due to its striking resemblance.
We will continue our path downhill through farms and forests along the Santa Teresa creek until we reach the parking lot of the Madre Sierra Hotel, where we will take our transport back to Santa Marta.
